For The People Outreach was proud to participate in the Meet HCAM! Resource Fair and Open Enrollment Clinic on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Hyattsville Branch Library in Hyattsville, Maryland.

Hosted by HealthCare Access Maryland (HCAM), the event introduced residents to HCAM as the new community resource for Maryland Health Connection in Prince George’s County. It brought together local organizations, service providers, and community members for a day centered on health, wellness, education, and access to essential resources.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to learn about valuable programs available throughout the region. Free, on-site assistance with Maryland Health Connection applications was also available, helping individuals and families better understand their health insurance options and take important steps toward obtaining coverage.

For The People Outreach attended the resource fair to connect directly with community members, share information about our programs and services, and build relationships with other organizations committed to improving lives throughout Prince George’s County and the surrounding communities. Events like this allow us to meet people where they are, listen to their needs, and ensure they know where to turn for support.

We are especially grateful to Adriana Buttrum, Outreach Manager for the Capital South Region Connector Program, and the HealthCare Access Maryland team for organizing the event and inviting For The People Outreach to participate.

Our involvement will extend beyond this resource fair. For The People Outreach looks forward to working with HealthCare Access Maryland moving forward to support future outreach efforts, connect more residents with vital health and community resources, and identify additional opportunities for collaboration.

Strong communities are built when organizations work together with a shared commitment to service. By strengthening our relationship with HCAM and other community partners, we can expand our reach, address barriers to care, and create more meaningful pathways to support for the individuals and families who need it most.
